New podcast - RS232, fifty years and still going!

Thanks for the nice bit of background info on this good old protocol. I think that generally on a Windows box, the USB-to-RS232 adapter keeps its COM port assignment -- provided you use the same USB port on the computer next time! In fact our head of IT actually labelled one of his laptop's USB ports 'com1'...

It never dawned on me that Windows might assign a different com-port to the adapter when you changed USB sockets - wow.
